Our Construction
Programme
The Course
This course runs two days a week at our Telford Seeds Centre based in Horsehay and will enable learners to gain a Level 1 in Construction at either Award or Certificate Level.
This programme is aimed at years 10 and 11 and runs throughout the academic year on a Tuesday and a Thursday (other days are catered for upon request and dependent upon numbers).
Qualifications
This qualification is approved for delivery in schools and gains valuable points for the school whilst also preparing learners for life after school with a robust and relevant qualification that is aimed at learners making their first step on the ladder towards becoming a fully skilled tradesperson upon leaving fulltime employment.
Success stories include a number of young people who have gone on to make a real success of themselves after leaving EDS and gaining themselves a place on Apprenticeships, college and of course employment.

Furthermore, this programme has been supported by a range of local and national businesses for a number years with both work experience and materials for learners to ensure a robust and valid qualification is delivered in a meaningful and worthy style and method. This will continue to be the case, both with work experience and materials.
