The EDS (Education Development Service) is an organisation that works with schools, colleges and employers.

The EDS looks at ways of making your school timetable more interesting, enjoyable and rewarding!

This is achieved by The LIFT Project .

The LIFT Project gives you the opportunity of pursuing a structured work placement of your choice from one day a week. Whilst in placement you will study towards a nationally recognised qualification.

You will have your own work place mentor to assist you throughout the LIFT Project supporting you during your time within the workplace and school.

A member of staff from the EDS will meet you by means of an interview at your school to establish your “ideal” work placement.
